Your friendly local guide (your new friend in Alicante!) will meet you outside the Tourist Office by the port. We’ll start with a walk along the beautiful harbor, full of stories from Alicante’s past — including brave moments from the Spanish Civil War.
Then we’ll admire one of the most beautiful buildings in Alicante and hear the amazing story behind it. From there, we enter the historic city center, where you’ll see important places like City Hall and learn about the people who made history there.
We’ll also explore the old Medina neighborhood, where you can still feel Alicante’s Arab roots. Then, we’ll visit the Basilica of Saint Mary, the oldest church in the city — and the site of a famous miracle.
Next, we’ll head up to the charming Santa Cruz neighborhood, with whitewashed houses, narrow streets, flowers, and incredible views. As part of our Free Walking Tour Alicante, we’ll also stop at the Co-Cathedral of Saint Nicholas, one of the city’s most important religious buildings.
