We’ll begin with an effortless ride to the top of Santa Bárbara Castle via lift, where you’ll be rewarded with sweeping views over Alicante and the Mediterranean Sea. From there, we’ll make our way down into the historic Santa Cruz neighbourhood, a hidden gem full of charm, where colourful houses, narrow winding lanes and plant-filled balconies create a truly picturesque scene.
You’ll get to know some of Alicante’s most iconic buildings, and we’ll reveal the meaning behind the colours of the tiled mosaic on the famous Explanada de España, one of the most beautiful promenades in the country. You’ll also learn about the importance of fire and gunpowder in our local festivals, especially the much-loved Hogueras de San Juan.
